Quick FAQs
Is DebtAegis a law firm?
No. DebtAegis is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Our tools and guides help you complete paperwork and understand the process. If you need legal advice, consult an attorney.
Is your Answer document the right document for me?
If you haven’t yet filed an Answer in your case, this is the document you need. If the opposing party has already filed a Motion for Default Judgment, Writ of Garnishment, or other documents then you may need to file another document in addition to this Answer. If you’ve already filed an Answer, you won’t need to use this service.
What if I missed the filing deadline?
You should still file your Answer right away — many courts accept late filings if no default judgment has been entered. Acting quickly gives you the best chance to have your response accepted and avoid losing the case automatically.
How much does it cost?
DebtAegis pricing is transparent and one-time per case. See details on our pricing page. Court filing or mailing fees, if any, are separate and paid to the court or carrier.
